Brian Clegg's CleanART Acrylic Paint is a good quality water-based liquid acrylic paint with a creamy consistency that dries to flexible, opaque, silk finish.  Available in a range of clean, vibrant and intermixable colours which are perfect for colour mixing.  This liquid acrylic is an excellent all round performer, produces fabulous results and suitable for student, hobbyist or the more experienced artist.  

Like all Brian Clegg's CleanART Acrylic Paints they are specifically designed to be more user friendly for the student or hobbyist and to provide additional creative elements to the more advanced artist.  They are specially formulated to:

These acrylic paints adhere to most surfaces including paper, card, canvas, wood, ceramics, fibre glass and glass, making them ideal for all kinds of art, craft and design work.

 

NOTE:  Although dried deposits of this paint can be removed from non-porous surfaces, it can still stain surfaces and will stain fabrics or clothing.  Always use protective clothing and cover surfaces.  As these paints are re-wettable, CleanART paints are not recommended for artwork displayed externally or in high humidity environments without being protected with a suitable water resistant varnish.

Special Information
  • Can be diluted easily with water to use for water colour or poster colour techniques.
  • To improve the  adhesion/key of acrylic paint on very smooth / glossy surfaces roughen up the surface with a fine sandpaper or other fine abrasive material.
  • To obtain enhanced weather resistance can be coated with Brian Clegg’s water resistant and UV protective clear water based over varnish.  Ensure acrylic paint is completely dry before applying over varnish.  To obtain obtain optimum key between the paint and over varnish very lightly sand the paint surface with extra fine sand paper prior to over varnishing.  Repeat to increase protection.

Storage Information
  • Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight.
  • Always replace the cap when not in use.
Washing Information
  • Paints do stain
  • Always wear protective clothing

 

Wet Stains: Place a pad on the back of the fabric and rub with a cloth dampened with water.  Wash with soap and cold water.  Repeat wash with soap and warm water.

 

Dry Stains: Very difficult to remove.  Pick off as much as possible.  Soak in warm water and detergent and follow  wet stain recommendations.  Pad back of stain to help avoid spreading of stain.  Dry Cleaning may help.
