Collagraph
Block/Lino Printing
Process
- Collagraph print is a collage printmaking technique which requires a printing plate to be made first
- To make the collagraph plate, stick and glue materials like textured paper or fabric onto the plate (either cardboard or wood) and the coat it with acrylic medium afterwards to protect the materials.
- The plate can be built up using different materials, as long as they sit flat enough that they wont pierce the paper when printing.
- Printing with the plate can then be done using ink rollers and transferring directly onto the printable substrate.
- Effects will be dependent upon absorption of the the items on the board.
